About Decrumb

Common questions.

Does this stop all tracking?

No. Decrumb removes known tracking parameters from eligible links. Websites can still use other tracking methods. It doesn’t visit links, expand short URLs, or check whether a destination is safe.

Does Decrumb read my Signal messages?

It connects as an additional linked Signal device, so its Signal client can receive and decrypt your messages. Link cleanup happens on your machine. Account data and some queued link data are stored locally. See exactly what’s accessed and stored →

Will it change my chats or reply to friends?

Clean copies go only to your Note to Self. Decrumb never replies to contacts or groups, and it leaves the original conversation alone. Disappearing messages, view-once content, and spoilers are skipped.

Why not just delete everything after the question mark?

Some of that information makes the link work. In the example above, id=42 identifies the article. Decrumb removes known tracking tags and preserves the other parts. Recognized signed links are left untouched.

Can I choose what gets cleaned?

Yes. Choose sites, exclude others, or adjust which parameters are removed or kept. Preview changes locally before saving. You can also manage generated notes and enable optional commands from Note to Self. Explore the controls →
